A UAE source disclosed that the decision to inaugurate an embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Baghdad is a political and protocol measure have nothing to do with the policy of granting entry visas to Iraqis. The source, who asked to remain anonymous said to FATEHOON correspondent in Dubai that granting entry visas is a sovereign affair, and thereby has nothing to do with the resumption of the diplomatic relations.
He added the UAE ambassador will not arrive Baghdad until six months pass, during which security mission is going to precede him for rehabilitating the embassy building and examining the possibility of its protection. The source did not even rule out the possibility that the embassy to start its mission inside the Green Zone, pointing out that the embassy would be represented by small numbers of officials, who will pay more attention to the protocol, trade and investment fields, owing signing a number of contracts between the Kurdish government of Erbil and UAE companies for real estate and tourism early in current June. Meanwhile (The Iraqi dignity) Association called Arab states to officially apologize to the Iraqi people for their contribution in occupying Iraq and in destroying it later on, bearing in mind that UAE is one of the Gulf Arab countries which contributed in supporting U.S. troops during the occupation of Iraq.
FATEHOON correspondents in a number of Arab capitals were briefed about the onerous conditions imposed by the UAE government upon Iraqis. The Iraqi Community Head in Cairo said that the conditions had been designed to humiliate Iraqis and treat them as inferior- not second hand- Arab citizens, "for us to be a second hand citizens in UAE is unattainable wish."
Sajid Hamza Iraqi teacher who failed three times in obtaining entry visa to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, said the UAE authorities limit the Iraqis to be allowed to apply for a visa only for those above thirty-fifth They also ask Iraqis to present approval document of valid permanent residence in an Arab country, with another document to approve his having permanent job on condition that should have as its issuance date no more than 3 days, with a third document to approve the applicant to have previously entered UAE. Moreover, the applicant should deposit at the UAE Madarak Company for general trade, through its Arab branches, a bank certified cheque of irrecoverable one thousand five hundred american dollars, in case the Iraqi violated the condition and stayed a day following the days granted to him inside UAE by the visa which is limited to no more than three months at best.
Abdul-jawwad Al-Aa'sam, Iraqi trader, pointed out that UAE companies intermediating in extraction visas for Iraqis have rose brokerage fees from nine up to twelve thousand dirhams, bearing in mind the percentage of those Iraqis who could be granted visas do not exceed 10% of the number of applicants.
A large number of UAE undercover traders have formed brokerage bands including a large number brokers to exclusively exploit Iraqis whom they feel their need for visas to escape from the anomalous and deteriorating conditions in their country.
FATEHON correspondent in Beirut got knowledge that the UAE authorities decided to secretly encourage the migration of Iraqi specialist she-doctors to work in UAE and offered them visas on an urgent basis, which has resulted in a big shortage in the Iraqi health sector, which has been suffering a real crisis, and looking forward to be supported by Arab countries.
sources showed that the UAE authorities not only have day by day exaggerated their racial discrimination policy as against Iraqis, but also gagged the Iraqi embassy official mouths by purchasing their conscience for undercover monetary contracts and grants which have been disclosed to all quarters. Ageel Faris Al-Yawer, the Iraqi ambassador at UAE has covered up thousands of cases pertaining to insulting and humiliating Iraqis, shutting up the gates of the Iraqi embassy before all complaining Iraqis and those who are in need of help to get out of the arbitrary conditions imposed upon them by UAE employers who have accustomed to unfairly treat Iraqis and threaten to drive them back to Iraq when they claim their rights.
Iraqis in thousands suffer their violation of residence period in the UAE without being able to pay the overdue fines. UAE is the only Arab country which has not spared any Iraqi fines, in comparison to Jordanian government which spared Iraqis fines for more than five times over the last ten years in an attempt to ease burden of the Iraqis who were compelled to violate the conditions of residence. It is worth noting here that the price of obtaining residence permission in UAE is amounting up to fifty thousand dirhams, and this is done through mediators and subjected to humiliating conditions as well. Dubai imposes new conditions upon all Iraqi and Arab media companies not to bring any Iraqi, whatever he/she is highly efficient in media and technical information.
